Special considerations:
The Hope Sports Complex was built on a landfill, which required a design to adjust for the settling of the earth over a period of many years as well as other environmental considerations. Our engineering team met with city engineers and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality to explain the science behind — and ensure the soundness of — the site design.
The championship field has artificial turf and is convertible to accommodate multiple needs. For example, this field can host two little league soccer matches or a single World Cup level soccer match or one lacrosse game. The design also accounts for the capability of conversion to two baseball diamonds.
